Web Intelligence Rich Client Installation Guide
EDDIE
The Enterprise Data Delivery Information Environment (EDDIE) is a secure, web-based content management system (SAP Business Objects). EDDIE allows easy access to University of Illinois Standard and Solution Library reports, as well as provides a convenient environment to save your ad hoc reports.
Web Intelligence Rich Client
The Web Intelligence Rich Client is an easy to use report editor which allows you to create, edit, and analyze both simple and complex business intelligence reports. It is a desktop application which can be accessed through EDDIE or from your computer desktop.
The major difference between the two versions is that Web Intelligence Rich Client allows you to save your documents locally and on network drives. The HTML version can only save reports to your Personal Folder in EDDIE. Also, the Web Intelligence Rich Client is a PC-based application and cannot be installed on MAC computers. Since the HTML version is web-based, it can be used with MAC computers.
