University of Illinois System

Description

Financial Aid Census offers a picture of students’ information (curricula, bio/demo, Financial Aid - if applicable) at specific points in time during a Financial Aid Academic processing year. The primary objective of the Financial Aid Census project was to create a census, or frozen data structure, in the EDW to address the needs of the Financial Aid Office and Institutional Reporters for static, reproducible data used for internal and external reporting. This data is captured at specific times (Fall and Spring 10th Day Census) and 13 specific dates for comparing students’ curricula, bio/demo, and financial aid (if applicable). Please review the Requirements Overview document for additional details regarding the business rules used to derive this data structure.
